When it came down the the last 2 minutes, MSU grabbed their opponent and put the squeeze on them. For a team that only score 22 points in 20 minutes to come out and outscore and hold their opponents to over 9 minutes of a dry spell from field goal range to deal the final blow to Northern Iowa.

Tom Izzo, the best coach in NCAA? Let's hold off on that until he wins the championship again.

Pacman to Detroit?

So the Detroit Lions are now officially interested in Adam Pacman Jones?

The same team that passed up other players *Tank Johnson, *Terrell Owens, in the past that have had other issues on and off the field are now considering the Pacman? This really a good idea?

Sure, your team has no one of substance as a Kickoff or Punt Returner nor any depth in the defensive backfield. While this team doesn't exactly have any leaders on the defense that would keep their eye on Jones. Who, last years rookie safety Louis Delmas? I don't think so. That is all we need is the rising star of Delmas to be corrupted in any way. Maybe veteran linebacker Julian Peterson? Maybe, but Peterson doesn't seem like the presence that maybe needed for this assignment, a good example to meet that task is Baltimore's Ray Lewis.

GM Mayhew and Coach Schwartz would be pinning their bets that the good will out weight the bad here. Schwartz has some history with Jones back in 2005, but yet again that was 5 years ago.

Congrats to Northern Iowa

Northern Iowa defeated the number one team in the country yesterday in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Northern Iowa used several 3 point sharp shooters in defeating the number one seeded Kansas.

This totally destroys tons of brackets, everyone had Kansas stenciled in as a Final Four Entry.

I still think Ohio State or Michigan State will make it out of the Midwest Bracket!

Weather

After a solid week of temperatures in the 50's, the cold spell has hit us with Back to Back 40's days. Not cool...but cold.

Movie Review: Inglorious Basterds

This motion picture is set in 1942 and follows Brad Pitt, a US military man who leads a group of undercover men in France and Germany with their sole purpose to destroy any enemy nazi that cross their path. After watching the Academy Awards recently, the movie was noted several times, though it did not win many awards outside of Christoph Waltz claiming Best Supporting Actor, it ended up on our movie queue. From previous Quentin Tarantino works, this adds to his legacy as one of the most influential modern day Directors.

The movie has much Gore, Blood..but what war movie doesn't? The features length was just over 2 hours and 30 minutes, on the long side for a movie, but I didn't mind. Brad Pitt continues his hot streak of decent movies, with The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and his small role in the Coen Brother's Burn after Reading.
